Flooding in Colorado has caused at least eight fatalities and left thousands of people stranded in areas isolated by flood-ravaged roads. Seventeen Colorado counties have been declared part of the flood zone. Thousands of people have been evacuated to shelters, and many more are still missing. As with all natural disasters, Colorado pets have been affected too. Local shelters have seen an influx of animals displaced by the flooding.
