Novartis Resuming Sale of Leading Pet Health Products

by VetDepot on February 3, 2012

NovartisNovartis Animal Health sent U.S. Veterinarians a letter dated yesterday announcing they are resuming the distribution and sale of their leading pet medication products produced from their plant in Lincoln, Nebraska. The company warned that they are experiencing back orders and so there may be continued delays in shipments. The letter did not specifically name the brands that will begin shipping but as previously reported (see here), the plant produces Interceptor Flavor Tabs, Sentinel Flavor Tabs, Clomicalm, Program Tablets and Suspension, Milbemite and Deramaxx. Production at the plant has been stopped due to mix-ups with the company’s human OTC products.  There have been no reports of contamination or mix-ups with Novartis petmeds.

Hello – just called Novartis – they are not going to make Interceptor any more. Rep told me to try Sentinel instead for my sheltie. Anyone have any problems with Sentinel?
